EightyNine Cafe proves that there are still surprises in this world

Rizal Avenue extension will never be the same after Puerto Princesa International Airport moved its entrance to Barangay San Miguel along the National Highway. But there are still a lot of reasons why people still go back to what is dubbed as the Tourism Mile. You can call it nostalgia or remembering but for most food lovers Rizal Avenue Extension still has one of the best restaurants in town.

And we were surprised and cannot wait to share about the astonishment we had over last week about EightyNine Cafe. The menu is all but fit a one pager as brunch, mains, pasta, rice bowl, sides, bagel burgers and dessert with almost just five offering only of each.

Baby Back Ribs is a no pushover

And that is when we started to partake their sumptuous meals that we realize that there are still surprises in this world. The place is so modest and unassuming but the food is exquisite.

This is definitely our choice of indulgence. We have quite a bit of a laugh at their door sign though they haven’t closed for a day since 2017 or at least not that we know of. Any day who knows they could be at the beach.

EightyNine Cafe is located next to SamgyupSalamat in the Tourism Mile of Rizal Avenue Extension near the Old Airport entrance. And yes, it is also a coffee shop if you wanna ask.
