There are certainly benefits to Puerto Princesa City and Palawan being at Alert Level 1. Businesses are restarting with new vigor of what was once their selling forte or high point. And we cannot help but point out our visit to the Unlimited Buffet of Casa Ricardos at Sunlight Hotel.

Just like pre-pandemic you just need to shell out P350 per person for what we can definitely brand as one of the most reasonably priced buffet offering in the city. And we kind of miss this one.

Despite the staggering increase in oil prices and its effect on basic commodities, this Restaurant is able to maintain its pricing which endeared it to many Palaweños.
There is a whole lot of choices for everyone and at that price range, you would have nothing but praise to the many spectacular people who make this happen. Categorically they classify themselves as Filipino, Asian and International Cuisine Restaurant.

From the appetizer, soup, salad, main dishes of pork, chicken, vegetables, siomai, lumpia, lechon chops, name it, there is something for everyone.

On the dessert side you can customize the halo-halo with your own kind of servings and combinations with ice and milk and sugar to your liking. A kind of DIY.
And still a lot of other kinds of choice desserts: fruit jelly, banana cake, mango tapioca, etc. etc.

Seeing the expansive view of Puerto Bay evokes feelings of ecstacy. One can see the Baywalk and the eyes are taken across the other side of the bay until the City Hall, Sienatel Hotel and including Robinsons Mall (with the R sign) and even SM on the rightmost side. Directly infront is the new Water Septage plant of the City Government which aims to treat water from the city especially the old market before being released safely to sea.

Cafe Ricardo is located at the 4th floor of Sunlight Hotel along Malvar Street near the Old Market and Unitop Mall. Parking is located under the basement if you have a car (or not because you opt to walk because of fuel high price) and just need to pass a stairway going to the hotel lobby to take the elevator going to the 4th floor (the elevator ride is free).
See you there as we will have to starve ourselves for a week to come back again.
