July 15, 2024, marked the jubilant start of the 6th Pinya Festival in the lively town of Bataraza. The festivities began with a colorful parade, followed by a short but sweet program attended by local and barangay officials, government agency staff, and members of various organizations and cooperatives.

Picture this: the streets of Bataraza brimming with smiles, laughter, and the sweet scent of pineapples. That’s right! The Float Parade was a true spectacle as each barangay flaunted its artistic prowess with intricately designed floats that screamed creativity and community spirit. From towering pineapple replicas to intricate floral arrangements, the floats were a feast for the eyes, turning the town into a vibrant mosaic of colors and craftsmanship.

But the fun didn’t stop there! The Agri Trade Fair officially opened its doors, showcasing a cornucopia of local products from different barangays in Bataraza. Whether you’re on the hunt for the juiciest pineapples, unique handmade crafts, or locally produced delicacies, the fair has got you covered. It’s a one-stop shop for all things local and lovely, giving visitors a taste of Bataraza’s rich agricultural heritage.

So, if you’re itching for a slice of the fun (and maybe a slice of pineapple, too), head on over to Bataraza and dive into the festivities. The Pinya Festival 2024 promises days filled with excitement, camaraderie, and, of course, a whole lot of pineapples.
