Alicia’s Secret Garden: A Mystical Retreat in Puerto Princesa

Puerto Princesa, known for its breathtaking natural wonders, has a retreat destination that has captured the hearts of locals and tourists alike. Tucked away in the secluded Sitio Masikap 2, San Jose, lies Alicia’s Secret Garden, formerly known as Kuyba Almoneca. This enchanting sanctuary boasts a mystical and magical atmosphere, offering visitors a unique experience unlike any other.

The main attraction of Alicia’s Secret Garden is undoubtedly its mystical and enchanted garden, which is adorned with a variety of vibrant flowers and plants. The meticulous arrangement of different flora will leave even the most avid plant lovers, known as “plantitos” and “plantitas,” dumbfounded by its beauty. The garden’s ambiance alone is enough to transport visitors to a world of tranquility and serenity.

As visitors explore the garden, they will stumble upon a collection of strategically placed saint statues. These statues serve as a religious homage for Catholic visitors while also adding an artistic touch for those with a bohemian inclination. The presence of these statues further enhances the ethereal atmosphere of the garden, creating a harmonious blend of spirituality and natural beauty.

However, the true marvel lies deep within the property. To reach this hidden treasure, visitors must descend a few steps and duck beneath a low entrance. As they walk or crouch a few meters, a breathtaking natural cave is unveiled before their eyes. Inside this captivating cavern, a natural spring water source flows gracefully, forming a mesmerizing pool. This remarkable feature makes Alicia’s Secret Garden home to the first and only natural spring pool in Puerto Princesa.

Stepping into the cave and taking a dip in the pool is an otherworldly experience. The water’s enchanting properties leave visitors wondering if it possesses healing qualities or can rejuvenate their weary souls. Although the answers to these questions remain unknown, one thing is certain: the experience is truly one of a kind. To ensure everyone has a chance to indulge in this unique adventure, swimming time in the pool is limited, accommodating up to 20 people at a time.

While the mystical pool steals the spotlight, Alicia’s Secret Garden offers even more attractions. The property houses large pools of various kinds, allowing visitors to enjoy different aquatic experiences. Additionally, a fish spa, utilizing water sourced from the same natural spring in the cave, provides a soothing and rejuvenating sensation for visitors.

When hunger strikes, guests can head over to Corinne’s Kitchenette, the garden’s on-site restaurant. Known for its Filipino dishes with international influences, this culinary haven complements the mystical vibe and natural surroundings. Regular customers are already singing praises for the delectable offerings served in this enchanting setting.

Alicia’s Secret Garden is open daily from 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening, with the exception of Tuesdays. To explore the garden, an entrance fee of P50 is required. For a deeper immersion into the wonders of the property, visitors can choose from various tour packages, each with its own unique offerings. These include the Kiefer’s tour (P100), Lolo Neil’s Cave Tour (P150), Pool Access (P200), and the Meditate, Bath, and Eat promo (P375). For families, there is good news as well, with a 50% discount offered for children aged 3 to 12 years old, and a 30% discount for pool access.

Alicia’s Secret Garden has quickly become a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists seeking a truly magical experience. Its natural cave, mystical pool, and enchanting surroundings provide a sanctuary where visitors can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature’s beauty. Whether you seek spiritual solace or simply wish to immerse yourself in a unique and captivating atmosphere, Alicia’s Secret Garden is sure to leave an indelible impression on your heart and soul.
