Humans are optimist by nature and we are filled with optimism for the year 2023. If the years since the pandemic have been annus horribilis (horrible year), the next years will surely be annus mirabilis (wonderful year). We are very excited as we figure out our plans for travel here and abroad sans pandemic worries.

The proclamation declaring national holidays for the observance of the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha will be issued after the approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been determined, in accordance with the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar, or upon Islamic astronomical calculations, whichever is possible or convenient. The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos will recommend the actual dates on which these holidays shall respectively fall. The President will issue separate proclamations declaring national holidays for the observance of these holidays.
