A lot of activities are lined up for this years Baragatan sa Palawan Festival 2022 which will be held from June 10 to June 30 in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan. One of the activities that we are particularly excited about is the Saraotan sa Dalan on June 23, 2022 which is the Street Dancing competition. This event is open to all local government units or municipalities of Palawan.

There is a big catch and it is worth One Million Pesos for the grand winner. Not a small sum but worth it considering also the logistics needed to organize a group to join the Street Dancing Competition. Minimum number of participants is 50 up to 150 individuals only.
It is a sight to behold as Baragatan is re-introduced to the public after two years being placed under the rug due to the pandemic. Judging areas are in Mendoza Park and the Palawan Events Center in the Capitol. The route of the performance is from the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral going to the Capitol Compound.
Aside from the grand prize of P1,000,000, the second prize and third prize will also be awarded at P750,000 and P500,000 respectively. But no one goes home empty-handed as P100,000 will be given to non-winners. Other special awards are also at stake which include Most Disciplined, Best in Musicality, Best in Costume, Best in Concept and Best in Production Design which will get P10,000 as a prize.
After 2 years of pandemic woes, this is truly a sign of revival and will usher more activities for Palawan.
