There is more good news for visitors of the best island in the world as the provincial government of Palawan through Executive Order (EO) No. 57, Series of 2022 has further eased the protocols for all inbound local and foreign travelers.
The EO which will now require just the presentation of vaccination cards for those who are fully immunized was signed by Governor Jose Alvarez last March 29, 2022. This is expected to usher in tourists and visitors to help in the revival of the dormant tourism industry of Palawan caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is greater benefit and less hassle for fully vaccinated travelers as they only need to show vaccination cards. Unvaccinated travelers are still allowed entry provided they have negative RT-PCR results obtained 72 hours before their flight departure dates.
Penalties will be imposed for anyone attempting to falsify their cards and travel documents which is also provided under Section 5 of the EO.
This is seen to boost the largely tourism dependent economy which was the main consideration as the number of vaccinated individuals have increased in the province and in the whole country.

There is a greater sense of optimism and everyone is hoping for better days ahead whether it be in the new normal or just a glimpse of the glorious pre-pandemic.
El Nido and Coron has now seen its fair share of the tourist arrivals this week. Celebrities have flooded their instagram and Facebook posts with travel pictures and we are filled with envy.
Lets head to paradise and seize the opportunity.
