Fil-Am Vanessa Hudgens visit Ph to shoot a documentary, become a Tourism Ambassador and visit El Nido

The internet and social media sites was abuzz with pictures of Fil-Am actress Vanessa Hudgens who visited the Philippines for the first time in her 34 years and had her time fully booked for various appointments.

Among others, Ms. Hudgens is currently in the Philippines to shoot a documentary with director Paul Soriano entitled Awakening at least the working title for now which is aimed at exploring her heritage – about her life with her Filipina Mom and her sister.

She was also conferred the title of Global Tourism Ambassador by no less than President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in a ceremony and in person at the Malacañang Palace.

But despite all the hectic appointments, she still have enough time to visit El Nido, Palawan last week, most prominently at Pangulasian Island where she experience what the Best Island in the World have to offer.

And that set instagram on fire as the 34 year old actress who rose to fame after the movie: High School Musical, show some skin, nay more than enough skin and of course the kind of wanton abandon typical of people enrapt in paradise.

One noteworthy thing that she did which is very Filipino is having her Filipino Mom, Ms. Gina Guangco and her sister in tow everywhere she went even in Palawan.

She also had an amazing sunrise experience which she posted in instagram describing it as “5am hike to the top of the world”.

Her reason for coming to her mother’s home country: “I’m in my 30s now. I’m thinking about raising a family. I want to be able to know my heritage so that I can bring that forth and so that my kids know their background. They’d know more about their own blood.”

And its a lovely thing to say.
